This month I went to see the play Jekkyl and Hyde, I was a bit leery because I remember seeing the play on PBS with David Hasselhoff and I thought it basically sucked. This was a whole different story. Meaning the story was the same but the Production was incredible.
This revival is going to New York and Los Angeles. I guess we were a test group, and it tested very well. It was really worth seeing. I am a play snob and this was worth my money. How much do you ask? Nearly $100. But worth it. I would gladly see it again. CJM might get a Tony nomination out of it. At least that's what I think.

Why is someone trying to kill me
Did I do something to anyone? I haven't worked in years, I don't have any money, so why?? Whoever this is, truly is a PIECE OF SHIT
Batman-The nation panics
I went and saw the new Batman movie after the shooting in Colorado. Justifibly, I was a little apprehensive. The lights go down, they show coming attractions for what seems twenty minutes to a half an hour. The movie starts...It's a dark- themed film. Not a light happy movie. We get 35 minutes into the movie and what happens???? They stop the movie abruptly with a boom. The lights come on and the usher, or what I assume is a manager comes in and says, " It's okay folks, you aren't getting the full effect of the movie, so we decided to start the movie over again. You will get a refund on your way out(re-admission ticket). It'll take about 15 minutes to get the movie recued. We collectively sigh. Was this necessary? I almost shit my pants. As did the woman next to me, at least that's what she said. We make small talk, like you do with strangers, at least I do with strangers. I try to treat everyone like I've known them forever.
The movie starts again and continues to almost 9 pm. OMG!!! I thought it would never end. What started at a 4 pm showing went on for close to 5 hours; probably as long as the standoff with the terrorist himself. I didn't care for the movie until the very end, although I did think the acting was really good. I'd rather watch a musical. Maybe once it comes on DVD and I'm in the safety of my own home I could relax, but this was way too tense. And the violence was off the charts. Call me old fashioned, I watched Batman when I was a really small child, ran around the house with a towel around my neck singing the theme song with my brother. We were Batman and Robin. And they said this was the end of the Dark Knight trilogy, ok...make the next series a fun bunch, because you have to...I loved the new Robin!!! He is awesome!!!!

All-star game
Ok, Chipper Jones is on the all-star game, and I used to heckle him when he played against the Padres, yell "LARRY, LARRY" in a real whiney voice and get the crowd going, what a blast!! San Diego crowds like audience participation. Especially, if it's going to rattle the other players.
let's talk about the origin of his name, is it from a wood chipper? Or father of the Bride Chipper Chicken?? You make the call.

The Young and The Restless
This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the writer of the Young and the Restless. I have watched that show for so long, that I feel like I should be writing it as well. What the hell right?? They need me!! Hahahahaha, right!!! Funny, Funny...Anyway I got to meet Heather Tom from Bold and the Beautiful, and Christian LeBlanc from Y&R. Talk about hot!! OMG, he was golden!! Smooth, hot!!! I left with a bit of a crush actually, (taken directly from Brigit Jones Diary). And the book that I bought, The Y&R life of William Bell is so good, a must for any Y&R fan. I also got to meet Maria Bell, what a wonderful woman. I was most excited to meet her . I got to talk to them for a lot longer than most that were at the book signing, mainly due to my actual questions, not just a Fan thing. What a great experience. She really is an inspiration. Thank you Warwicks Books. You made my month.
Guilty plea: Child rape is not ok.
Guilty plea: Child rapist was accused of giving girls ’special juice’ before assaults this man will spend an eternity in Hell. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in Prison. I could give this another name, but it's still the same. he just plied them with his special juice??? Probably a soda juiced up. This kind of predator needs to go <away>. Problem with this is, he probably intimidated his victims. More people need to come forward - Speak Up America!!! This is a global problem, address it now!

Why didn't this movie do better?
Crazy, Sexy, Love was absolutely my favorite movie of last year. I love it so much. I told everyone to go see it, and now it's on HBO and I watch it everytime. Kind of like a "dirty dancing" kind of thing, just a movie that I would call "Assplanter". I'm on my ass alot, I watch lots of TV, but let me tell you, this movie is awesome! I also bought it, because in the off chance that HBO isn't running it, I can put it on. I have lots of movies, but this is my new favorite.
The acting is so good. People need to see it just for Steve Carrell, so that they can see him in a different light than "office". He is outstanding. Marisa Tomei, great, and Julianne Moore, fantastic!

Ryan Seacrest / the Dictator
Watching TV, and a preview for the dictator comes on, and my little mother spouts off, how mad she still is, because he got Ryan all dirty. Too funny, 2 months have passed, still mad, we are irish!! I'm not calling Ryan a dictator, cause I love him. There is this great show on right now called "Duets" and it's kind of like "American Idol", but with ...you guessed it two people singing instead of one. Only four groups, and they sing with a professional. I'm really glad the world is getting to see John Legend, Robin Thicke, I think that's with an "E" on the end. It doesn't really matter, I'm the only one who reads this anyway. Makes me really miss Ryan Seacrest. I like him hosting everything. He is adorable.
Dark Shadows
Okay so I was the only 5 year old watching Barnabus(?) Collins, back in the day. But I loved Dark Shadows, and I was always waiting for something to happen on that show. I wouldn't go out to play until my story was over. I was addicted to that even then, so imagine how excited I am now to have JOHNNY DEPP play him.

the smoke-my little dog
I was thinking back to a childhood memory, of a Thanksgiving, when my little dog Smokey was around. He was a mix of Dachshund and Terrier, a little black cutie and he lived to be 16 years old. I really loved him. What a sweet little dog, of course he was sweet to me, he was my dog. To other people, he was a terror. My Uncle Leo called him Skupper, and would remark, "You're still here, huh?" I guess his pets didn't make it for the long haul. Ours do. Till death do us part. Anyway, back to the Thanksgiving, he was barking and running from one door to another in a circle, I had this figured out, so I just let him be outside, let him be outside and bark himself silly. Well my Nana couldn't take it anymore and let him in, and he ran right to the back door, and she got up and went to the back door to let him out, and he ran to the side door to get let in, she let's him in, he ran to the back door, she let him out, he ran to be let out, this continued for about 15 minutes, watch that for about 5 or 6 minutes and a cranky senior citizen finally had enough and said " to hell with you" and she sat down. Hilarious. That may have also been the Thanksgiving that he busted open the trash bag and ate the whole Turkey carcass. Then preceded to be in a Turkey coma in the backyard for several hours, So funny!!! Mind you, he was about a foot tall, little Electrolux vacuum body. Get the picture?

So I was a little early
Oscar night isn't until tomorrow, so I still have another day to go see a movie, or at least go get popcorn...at the Landmark theatres. They have the best popcorn there in the world. Not just the city the world. I'm not kidding the world. So here I am trying to get back into my facebook, the wrong way....duh!!!
Oscar Night
It's almost Oscar Night and I've seen 8 out of the 10 movies nominated; I think that's pretty good. Either that or I've spent way too much much money on the movies this movie season!!! Think of what the general public has spent on movies in general. wouldn't it be a hoot if Melissa McCarthy scored an upset and Won the Supporting Actress award for Bridesmaids!!! I would love that. I want Michelle Williams to win. But I don't have a vote. I should, I spend enough money. But for best picture my two favorite movies weren't even nominated, and they both had Ryan Gosling, Drive and Stupid Crazy Love. These were movie making at it's finest. I coudn't get enough of either of these two. Go out of you way to see these movies, you won't be sorry, but be forewarned, Drive is uber-violent. But if I can take it, anyone can. Shame on you Oscar. Ryan Gosling needs to be commended.

Baxter Hill
This has nothing to do with anything. But back when I was a kid, we lived near a Elementary school Hawthorne elementary School. Behind it, was this huge hill, Baxter hill. We would ride our bikes down in and get going so fast that we thought that we would never be able to stop. Of course we eventually did. My brother ruined many a Big wheel on that hill, and many a pair of tennis shoes as brakes on that hill. My point is it's a wonder that any of us make it to adulthood with the stupid things we do as children. Here lick a battery, it won't hurt, that's one of my favorites.

The pearl is in the river....haha, I just saw the commercial again for Jack in the Box, and it says you may now eat the bride...am I the only one that laughs their ass off???? I can't be. This is funny. They had to had to have known what they were doing when they put that commercial on the air. Just good stuff.
Random thought-tea time during idol- the Cowboy
{ really conceited kid) I jus thought I through this out there) This kid can sing I give him that, but My God, he is conceited. I think if he is this conceited in life, he is going to have a really hard time. Maybe its just nerves. Or shyness. Ok I'll write it off to shyness. And nerves. Ok
It's all me: what to do
It's all me: what to do: what to do... I've been all over the place lately, I want to work, I want to stay home, I want to get married. I want a man!! HELP!!! OMG!!...
I got my hair done today, Hung out today with my friend Megan, She is the absolute best!! I love her!!! She has the cutest kids too!!! If I was ever to have children I would want them to look like them because I think them look like little angels. The sweetest faces that are on the face of the earth. And Elijah is going to save the planet.

Could it get any hotter??
OMG It's 80 degrees!!! It's February for God's sake, What's it gonna be like in August?? I hate to think about it. I'm gonna move to Maine. Next door to Stephen King. That should make for interesting neighbors. I like his books. When I couldn't see his book Gerald's Game was the first book that I was able to read. and make sense of. So I am forever grateful to him for everything that he writes. Every time that owvid Bee him at Fenway Park I want someone to this story, I don't know if he would care, I do, but that's because it's about me.where the hell did that address come from?? Beats me... Oh well. Have to run It's Ash Wednesday, Going to Church. Ashes, to Ashes....Reminds me of David Bowie, doesn't it?? Be back in a few?? So my forehead has been officially ashed. Strange ritual that catholics do, smear ashes on our heads, once a year. It's good more tomorrow. I'm done for today. Goodnight.
Dogs
My dog is a weiner dog, Unlike most people, I don't think my dog is the most intelligent dog on the earth, she doesn't do any tricks besides showing me her tongue when she's hungry, and it took 6years to house break her; I'm not kidding!!! This is not a joke Geena is the cutest little butterball you have ever seen, but she took forever to house break. Man oh man. We were the fifth family to have her, and the fifth family to try to house break her, A very stubborn little dog, I guess she's with the right owner. Me, A Perfect fit, A match made in heaven you might say. That's nice.We have been pretty lucky for the most part with our dogs with our dogs with the exception of little Jake, rest his little soul, but Smokey, and Ruby were the Absolute best dogs ever Almost human. I miss these dogs to this day, I have Geena the Wiener Dog and or should I say she has me!!!

Tatter Tots any one???
I always get the blues on Sunday nights, I used to work, and I thought it has to be because I didn't want to go to work. Now I don't work, well I work harder at home than I ever did at any office job, and I'd beg on my knees to come back. Pay them if I had the money. OMG!!! I really would. People don;t realize what it's like, daytime TV, sucks.. I think Adele has it right too. Men in general are dogs. I had one that I'm not going to say his name but I was going out with him for what seems an eternity...comes to find out that he has a wife and kid in another county. BOLD FACE LIAR....BURN IN HELL MUTHER EFFER. at least I never slept with him. I held out. Big tease. How many years can you be a tease??? Sheesh????? What a fool. Oh my God!!! This would be a bad movie, but let me tell you once I saw thie equipment, I made my mind up Why bother!!! I'd seen bigger tatter tots. I think I'll pass. Good night.Readers
I was watching one of my favorite movies "As Good as It Gets" and the line jumped out at me, " The best thing that you have going for you is the willingingness to humilliate , It looks wrong to me too. Whatever, right??? I ran the spell check on this, it looks wrong to me too, but what the heck. It's only me that reads this. I'm a silly punctuation freak. I should be an English teacher in my next life.
I watched The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner today, what a waste of talent. What a shame she died so young. And why isn't Kevin Costner getting work?? He is Super talented. But I think thats Hollywood. They Overlook the talented ones for the flavor of the month, and give work to the less talented eye candy, not taking anything from them, but please. give me KEVIN COSTNER ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

Word to the wise,,,Get 3 cupcakes....
I was in La Jolla today at the movies ...see my earlier blog...and I found Sprinkles Cupcakes....and I bought 1. Big mistake. I brought the bag home. My sister says, "don't you think we would have liked a cupcake too?" so tomorrow, I'm back off to La Jolla, to Sprinkles, to get 3 cupcakes.... Word....
Today I saw the movie " The Artist". Was it worth the hype?? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! What a raging bore!!! OMG!! Snoozefest!!! I kept waiting for something to happen. Nothing. Sure the guy is good, for the material, but this is just a waste of 2 hours. Yuck. It's just different, that's why everyone is so excited over it.But for my money I'd rather sit through the new Katherine Heigl movie again, I enjoyed that. Chick flicks rule!!!! Coming from a chick!!!! Of course, it won't win any oscars, so for my oscar pick...I pick the Descendants.. It was really entertaining...Clooney was true to life Hubell...so true to life.

Hall and Oates
I'm still applying for work, just in this country. I'm listening to Hall and Oates today; I realized that I have been listening to them since I was nine years old. I got a little transitor radio for my birthday and the very first song I really remember was Sara Smile. I was 9 years old. I held that little radio to my ear and sang along. Sara smile!!! Then, the Kasey Kasem came on and explained the whole situation. blah blah blah.......OMG that man could talk. I would get so involved in his stories. I remember one of them to this day, . I don't remember the whole story but at the end, her father died, and I cried my head off. I don't handle death well. Anyway I the next song they released was Sara Smile- I loved that one too. .. I love them to this day. I had front row to them a few years back, with Chicago, that was almost embarrassing. The guys in the Band Chicago were hopeless flirts, it was really weird. Almost like Candid Camera.. We were like are you kidding me?? OMG!!!! HAHHAHAHAHAHA!!! ME Right, Why???? Anyway, it was a great concert, the kids today have real crap to listen to, if if wasn't for Glee! I wouldn't know anything on the radio, I love that show.all the kids are so good. And the Glee Project! Smash!!!!!!!!! Is my favorite new addiction and the Voice, don't forget the idol, of course American Idol, but I love Love Love Smash!!!!! it's like Having a real show every week, and Jack is so good. they finally give us a leading man we can appreciate, Katherine McPhee is to die for. Amazing.... Debbie messing is not a one trick pony. She has broken the stereo type, and doesn't have to worry about people comparing this character to Grace at all. She makes my dreams come true. Which leads us back to Hall and Oates, cause they did a song called You make my dreams. - God I Loved them. I would dance the night away.. Bop all around. We dance boped to them in the 80's!!!! Look them up!!!! Wait for me Ok..... If that link works...i'm not an IT person so if that works it works. HTML isn't really my game. Hahhahahaha whatever that means. Funny how you remember where you were by music - like riding a bike on Conrad Avenue to Afternoon Delight, and The Bee Gees, The Beatles, Neil Diamond, Joy to the world, Three dog night, the late music, the 70's music was great and 80's was so good minus some duds... but God we had it so Good, and the Cartoons, Remember Mighty Mouse, The Jackson Five Cartoon, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Wonder Bug, Shazaam!!!! And My favorite was Lidsville!!!!! OMG with Charles Nelson Reilly, he was so campy!!! It was great!!!Who could forget Isis!!! That was a combination cartoon with Shazaam. a two for one deal. Loved it.OMG, great stuff.
Then I'd turn on the radio, and Kasey Kasem would say here is the new song from Hall and Oates!!!! This one is She's gone. I have a memory like no one else. I can remember where I was, and what I was doing to this day, but numbers.... I have a problem with. They get jumbled, Freaky. Other than that, I'm really good. Freaky. When I was twelve on my birthday my mom asked what I wanted for my bday and I said hamburger helper and rice-a roni- gross!!!

I'm going to apply for a job at Walmart, Kmart, Target, anything to get me out of this house. I am going buggy. I applied for a job in LONDON today. Yes another country. hello England, I'd have to get a passport, then my blog would be changed to one night in London, but there are worse things. at least I'd be employed. I hate not working. It sucks. I hate being the house slave. I'm not cut for it. I'm Cinderalla waiting for my Prince, but he has never shown up, or he has and I was doing the dishes or running errands and missed him. I still am so in love with one man, and he goes on with not even a thought of me. That's why I can disappear, fade away. POOF... Gone baby gone.
